15 Things You Should Never Say to A Mom of Multiples!

Things to never say!

1) “Got your hands full, huh?”
Yes, can you tell by the way I look??  My heart is certainly overflowing though. :)

2) “Did you want twins?”
Was there a choice?  Did I miss the invite?
They were a surprise.  How about you?

3) “Are they natural?”
Well they are not robots.  The answer is yes because every third person in my family is a twin (basically)...but don't ask that question it's really non of your business.

4) “Double trouble, hey?”
Mine are sitting next to me quietly.  Why don't you go chase your two boys that are fing up every room!

5) “Better you than me.”
Absolutely!  Aren't I blessed?  My children are born to love, share, and love another from the womb to the bottom of their little souls.  I am so lucky.

6) “Twins, Perfect. Now you’re done.”
Glad you made that decision for me.

7) “My best friend’s sister’s cousin’s brother has twins.”
Believe me..we could not care less.  Especially to a person like me knowing a twin isn't really that interesting to me since my whole family are twins for the last zillion years.

8 ) “I have two close in age so I understand what it’s like to have twins.”
Just to be clear that is not even close to the same thing.

9) “Two for the price of one.”
Really check my bank account.

10) “Are they identical?”
Please - do you think they are identical?

11) “Are there twins in your family?”
Yes.  Really do you care?

12) “You look terrific for carrying twins.”
I am glad you feel that way.

13) “How do you do it?”
I just do.  This question I get the most.  I very much do not like this question.  What if I asked you how you take care of your children?   I think of my grandma who had 7 by herself (2 sets of twins).  You do it because you love it and believe me you'd do it too if you were blessed to do so.

14) “Twins huh? You get to get it over with all at once.”
I actually enjoy my children and "don't want to get it over with."  I wish I could actually freeze time...

15) “I’ve always wanted twins.”
I hope you get your wish one day.  It's the hardest job in the world and the best thing in the world all at the same time.  Good luck.  Maybe God will give you the same blessing one day. :)
