This and That...

Well October has been a busy month but what month isn't?  Here are some things we have been doing...  My Dad's bday was on October 7 so, I decided to have a party for him.  He turned 61 but last year he wasn't here...so we partied.  I had 45+ people or so at my home and we had an enchilada bday party for my Dad with family and friends.  It was a lot of fun.

We were also lucky to have a visit from the Ideker Grandparents so they got to meet some of my family.  Grandpa and Grandma came out for a few days and had a visit with the girls.  It was so great to see them!!  We have a lot of pictures thanks to Grandma to keep.

We have been keeping up with work, and schedules with Baili.  Work has been crazy.  Trying to only work 55 hours a week for my little pay but who's asking??  Let's just say I pray December or November it will get better it's been rough for months.  Baili has her therapies still weekly.  OT, PT, SP, DSI, AZ Parenting too.  She is really walking a lot pushing things!!!!  She walks in gym when putting the balls away.  All by herself.  She's got it now it is all about being secure.

A few things...Baili has school soon!  She will be going Monday thru Thursdays for 3 hours a day.  This is a developmental preschool that has an integrated curriculum.  Meaning 50 percent of children in her class that what they call typical and 50 percent like Baili trying to catch up.  Long story short this school will be great for B.  She starts on Nov. 17 before she turns 3!  Sunrise Preschool is through the PVSD Paradise Valley School District and the bus will come pick her up.  She will also have her home therapies, so double therapy. At school she will get PT, SP, OT, and her teachers and psychologist too.  I was stunned.  I did cry because all the tests they do and it is a reality thrown in your face that my child needs to catch up A LOT.  Then I smile and laugh because they have NO CLUE where we have come from...  They love Baili and want her to improve so badly that I felt great at the last meeting.  The PT, OT, SP people were very nice.  PT was strict and questioning me like crazy.  Baili will be walking soon I know it with that teacher.  Overall this is going to be great for her and give her independence from K.  Also gives K some independence too.

K will be busy when B is at Preschool too.  She has gymnastics and time to spend with her dad and nanny while B is at school.  K is doing so well.  She was tested too and is counting to 30 by herself and 100 with us.  She really is way above the bar.  So we don't need to worry about preemie stuff with her.  K does have attitude so Gymnastics and play dates are great for her social needs.  She begs to play ALL DAY LONG.  She is working on her letters, sounds, and numbers and colors.  She has a lot to learn and this gives her a little time to work on her needs while sissy is at school for now.  This is what I feel is best for K and B for right now.

Today we went to the Phoenix Zoo we are members there and can go anytime.  It's actually right by my work.  Like walking distance...  Since it's been so HOT we haven't gone since April.  It was a fun day!  We also went to Gymnastics today and a Halloween Party yesterday.  Had some other things on our agenda but couldn't make it.  Never been so tired as I am today.  We are thinking the Pumpkin Patch tomorrow but if it is 96 like today.  I am not going...we will go next weekend.  It is still beyond HOT outside.  I just hope Halloween is under 90. :)

Next Friday October 28 is my twin brother's bday.  So Halloween is kinda hard at times around here.  That's why if you ever hear me talk about not dressing up.  It was very hard on my Mom and well as her child I felt for her.  I was only six when my brothers died but I remember it like it was yesterday.  My Mom really never got over it.  The twins were born at 29 weeks just like mine.  The difference is mine made it.  My brothers only made it for a few days.  Like I always say, "I am blessed beyond words."

Happy early bday to my brothers Jimmy and John.  You are smiling in heaven with my Mom right now I am sure and the rest of the clan.

Love,

The Mama
Katie
