Summer is Here.

Well I thought I would do an update on life, raising twins, and the sweet wonders of the AZ world. Well it has gotten up to 115 here so far. Fun times! Love going outside and telling my kids to hold their breath because it is TOO HOT to breathe! Thankfully they will get a little break and go to Seattle for a week. The twins are going to visit their Grandma Julie and Grandpa Allan in Edmonds, WA for a visit. They also have their other Grandparents there and their cousins, aunts, and uncles. They will be busy little bugs but most importantly they will get to bond with their Grandparents and family that they never see. Now that they are two years old they remember who their Grandparents are and recognize them.

The other day I took them to Yogurtini a frozen yogurt place that they LOVED! Their first time and they had a lot of fun. Baili was starring and everyone and saying, “hi, hi, hi, hi, hi.” Kirra was looking around asking where is Grandma Julia? She calls her Grandma – “Grandma Julia.” I assume because we call Baili “Baili Julia” her first and middle name. It is so cute. She was looking around the yogurt place saying where is my Grandma Julia? I assume as well because there were a lot of Grandma and Grandpas at the yogurt place that night. Anyway I am sure they will be excited to see them. I ask Kirra where do you live? She says, Phoenix. Where does Baili live? Where does Mommy live? Where does Papa live? Where does Nana live? She answers Phoenix for everyone. Then I say where do Grandma Julie and Grandpa Allan and Grandma Terry and Grandpa Randy live? She says, “SEATTLE” with tons of enthusiasm. Very cute!

Baili is talking up a STORM!! Babbling and copying MANY MANY words! We are so proud of her. ALMOST walking does everything but walk. Even crawls like a bear, all she has to do is stand up that little stinker!! Baili is doing so well in SPEECH, FOOD THERAPY, PHYSICAL THERAPY, OT, and DSI. I couldn’t be more proud of her!! I also just had a meeting on her developmental Preschool that will start in PV School District in December once she is three. Sounds amazing for her!! It will be Monday thru Thursday for 2.5 hours a day.

Kirra is also progressing like a little butterfly! Doing everything little two year olds do. We are so lucky that Kirra never gets sick, knock on wood! Kirra’s hair is SO THICK and long and curly lately. Love it. She really has beautiful hair. I tell her I am going to take it. She screams, “NO my beautiful hair!” Oh no, I am creating a little Diva! I think she doesn’t understand and starts crying (she actually thinks I can take her hair and put it on my head). LOL. I then tell her I am just joking! I do the same with Baili and then she will defend and cry for Baili. Bail’s hair isn’t as thick at all but long, straight, and gorgeous! Love them!

Swimming well…..they are doing better. We don’t get in the pool much because I am tired and well I can’t take TWO non swimmers in the pool by myself and the one that is out screams to come in…. They really need swim lessons. I need to get on top of that. Kirra just wants to DUNK all the time and thinks she can swim but she is getting much better at asking me first, “Mama let’s get in now.” Baili is doing great in the water too. However she is very cautious.

One little vent – seriously we are invited to two birthday parties a week and my kids don’t even have friends yet! Mainly my friends with kids!! Fun and all but come on I am tired!! Also they are very overwhelming!! Two last weekend and we have two this weekend. I do have a rule, we only go to one but I still get the baby/kids a little gift. Is everyone born in the summer or what? It makes me want to do a small dinner with me and the girls only for their third b-day in my calm quiet house. No cleaning, no yelling, no kids, and make them each their own BIG cake. No ciaos. Sounds calm and relaxing huh? Then take them for pedicures?

That’s all for now. I hope your summer is cooler than mine. Suppose to be 116 today. I am too old for this!

Love,

The Mama
