Single Parenting in My Home.

We don't own a Wii.
Or an Xbox, or a PlayStation or a Nintendo.
We don't have DVR or the other one that records shows--I forget the name.
We don't have smart phones.
We don't have fancy cameras.
My kids don't know what Angry Birds is.
Either do I.
I have entertained my children by allowing them to play with my cell phone.
They love cell phones!
We do have laptops and Leap Frog and V-Tech.
My kids listen to music that is age appropriate.
Toddler tunes is big in my home.
In my house, we have princess glass slippers.
We have princess tiaras.
Lots of play kitchen stuff.
We make breakfast and tea.
We play in princess tents and put babies to sleep.
We feed babies and dress them up.
We have Little People houses.
Seriously.
My children hate TV.
It used to be okay for me to watch the news but now it isn't OK.
Kirra flips out when it is on ever.
She states, "NO CARTOONS."  Along with a two year old fit on the ground screaming!!!
I asked the doctor because I don't think that is normal.
Baili doesn't mind the TV on but she doesn't really watch it.
I asked Kirra does it scare you?  She says yeah, no cartoons, no TV.
I am not sure what triggered this but doctors say she is only being two.
That is my hope.
So...we DON'T watch any TV in our home.
EVER.
Not even Mom.
Hope I am not missing the important news?
We don't have I-Phones, Smart Phones, DVDs, High Definition TVs, etc.
My two TVs are heavy BIG and from two garage sales.
They work fine.
I look at it this way.
They are barely two years old.
They have years and years in the future in which to use these items.
If they don't know what those items are right now, I don't need to be the one to introduce them into their lives at this age.
We are fine just the way we are.
I am a single Mom and doing the best I can.
We are doing pretty good.
We are very into pretend play.
Babies.
Outside.
And playing with our cousins.
My twins live to play with my cousins kids.
We are going today and Kirra can't stop talking about it.
We love double strollers.
And Pedisure.
We love juice, white grape, apple, and some others.
We eat a lot of organic foods.
We love greek yogurt.
We hate hospitals, (clearing my throat....)  Especially Baili.
We do love each other.
We are three peas in a Pod.
We like it that way.

I find out tomorrow about Baili's possible diagnosis.
Most likely we know.
More to that post later...We may have an answer.  It is awful but an answer at least.

With Love,
The Mama
