Thanksgiving 2011

I wanted to share a few things I am thankful for this year.  I am not always the happiest girl on the planet. That is me.  My personality.  Who I am.  That is just me, so I shouldn't have to apologize for it.  I do have grouchy days, weeks, months, you name it.  It's just me.  Some people are tip top happy every day of the week.  For them that is great but not reality to me.  So I wanted to write down some things I am BEYOND thankful for.

My twins.  They mean more to me than anything or anyone on the planet.  Sorry but this is true.  I have learned being a Mommy changes your life dramatically and as a Mama Bear you are always watching out for your cubs.

The NICU that saved their lives 2 yrs, 11 months, and 25 days ago.

The doctors and nurses that gave us hope.

GOD.

Insurance through my company.  I would literally be homeless with out it.  I am SO THANKFUL for it.  Especially for my Baili who uses it daily just about...and her secondary insurance.

Nurses and Doctors everywhere.

Baili's therapies at school and home.  ALL OF THEM.

Baili starting to walk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kirra being so kind and smart and a LOT like my Mom whom I miss daily.

My job.

My car.

My home.

My street.  Being able to live on a safe street that my kids can play freely in.

Baili's new school.

The twins HEALTH.

My FAMILY and everyone that helps me with my twins.

I love my life and family.  I am a very Thankful and blessed woman so with that I am so thankful!

Here are some pictures from around Thanksgiving Day.

Baili at the hospital for a check up.  So thankful for good news!

 Making pumpkin pie!

 Kirra playing...

 My first turkey!

Happy Thanksgiving 2011!

3 Years Old Pictures

On Monday, November 7, I had the girls 3 yr old pictures taken by Jessica Casper Photography.  They usually fall into Christmastime each year too which is nice, we hit two birds with one stone.  One great thing about being born around Thanksgiving.  So, I usually use a picture from our b-day pictures for our Christmas cards as well.   We have our annual professional photos taken by my friend, Jessica Casper.  She does such a great job and is great with my children.  I also work with her...  Let's just say it was raining and freezing for us AZ people and the girls were all over the place!  It surely was a cold day, but the scenery couldn't have been more gorgeous.   Kirra was throwing rocks and not listening and Baili was shivering cold and whining saying "done."  The girls aren't 3 yet but we did the pics a little early since she gets so busy this time of year.  Enjoy.  Here are a few below.  She took over a 100 LOL but here's a sneak peak.  We took them this year at the Desert Ridge JW Marriott Hotel right by my home.

Here are a few of the many we took.  Every time I ask Kirra how old she is going to be?  She says "four!!!!!!!!!!"  She doesn't want anything to do with three??  Baili says "three" because I tell her to and she does what I say.  Love how Baili obeys!  Very exciting news, Baili will start at her preschool 4 days a week (2. hours a day) really soon!  I am thinking of putting Kirra in a private preschool (Christian) two days a week after the RSV, cold, flu season, so this Spring.  Everyday Kirra asks, "can I go to school tomorrow?"  So I think my baby is ready.  I have been looking at referrals of different preschools so I can decide.  Looks like Paradise for Tots is at the top of my list for now.  We will see!  They can't wait for their bday party coming up.  All they want is chocolate cake and chocolate candles they tell me....hmmmmm.

Love,

Katie

Oh Sundays....

There are two things I try to do everyday; being appreciative and joyful each day.  God is good.  My children fill holes in my heart that I never knew was missing.  Thank you God for making my children my life.

Here are some pictures of just another Sunday.

Long Hair.

Long Hair Girls.

Baili's hair is actually "short" compared to Kirra's.  However I wanted to post some pictures of how lon it is getting!  We can do french braids now! =)

I remember the days Baili had hair that stuck up in the air no matter what I did to tame it?  Now it is long and silky and straight.  Hair I have always dreamed about!  Kirra's hair is long and wavy with curls down to her waiste if you can believe it too.  I am a Mama that just won't cut it!! =)

Summer and Fall Days....

We like to do some tempera painting here and there.  You know the kind that gets on everything but is washable with Miss Jessica.

Heading out to Gymnastics.  We go on Thursdays and Saturdays. :)

Hitting up a b-day party after Gymnastics.  The sunglasses were a hit!  Happy 3rd B-day Peyton!!  She is 3 months older than my girls.  Born the end of August.

 Happy B-day Peyton!!

 Yummy!!!

Kirra and her friend Oliver.  This was a fun party.  My high school friends and now our kids are all friends.  He is lactose intolerant.  So his pizza had no cheese.  Well Kirra stole his pizza.  I didn't realize they couldn't find it... because she always eat the "tops" of everything and not the bread.  Then Baili stole it from Kirra.  The whole time they were searching for Oliver's slice. LOL.  I had no clue and it was in Baili's mouth!

Yummy cake.  The best kind.  Homemade. :)

 My gymnast.
Up at our cabin in Pinetop Country Club.  The grandparents going out dancing and we are staying home?  Something wrong here??

My girls found toys in the basement that I used to play with!! A stroller and this farm thing...

They loved it!  Kirra was the tough one...not knowing she went upstairs she went into the basement in one of the bedrooms (it is pitch black) with spiders, bats, who knows and was she was pulling out toys.  I went up stairs and found her in there.  I was like, that is a very scary place Kirra!  She comes out and says, "oh no!"

Love seeing the girls play at my cabin that I grew up in...

 Family dinner.

 Thanks for helping Bai!

Some Fall and Summer fun.  We went up to Pinetop for the Labor Day weekend. :)
